Design for an NHL athlete and family this home is situated in the Howe Sound Fjord perched in the canopies of the coastal forest. This nature retreat house is enveloped by the Pacific North West flora. There is a Japanese sensibility to the fine craftmenship of the house and landscape a colaboration with Architecture firm SMStudio. Artful stone placement and delicate screen elements frame the nature compositions while granite stone walls anchor the site. Spaces are intentionally spa like in their repose and tranquility contrasted by the naturalistic planting. A refuge to urban life and a testament to living in harmony with the local expression of the region.
